A delightful five-piece nesting doll set initialed by the artist - each doll depicting a freckle-faced child holding soft toys including a floppy-eared rabbit and a teddy bear, painted in soft pastel blues and pinks. The faces have a characteristic warmth and expressiveness, with a gentle, childlike quality throughout all five pieces.
A matt finish gives this set a softer, more painterly look than the standard lacquered matryoshka.
This is a five nested piece set. Initialed by the artist. From Sergiev Posad.
