A beautifully detailed five-piece nesting doll set initialled Я.В. by the artist - each doll painted in rich red and black with elaborate white and blue flowers, pink roses and fine gold detailing. The faces are delicately painted with a refined, porcelain-like quality that sets this apart from production pieces. The smallest doll opens to reveal a tiny final figure nested inside.
