A vibrant and lively five-piece nesting doll set signed by artist Belyakova, each doll depicting a different child in traditional Russian dress. The largest shows a woman in a green headscarf holding a baby in a cradle with a colourful rattle, the next a golden-scarfed girl in a green sarafan with braids, then a rosy-cheeked boy in red, and the two smallest each show little girls in yellow and purple headscarves. The warm palette of orange, red, green and gold gives the set a bright, festive energy.
