Deep Green & Gold Floral Nesting Dolls - 5 Nested Set, Initialled N.S.
A elegant five-piece nesting doll set initialled Н.С. by the artist - each doll painted in deep forest green with dense gold and teal floral scrollwork covering the entire body. The faces have a refined, mature quality with dark eyes and a calm expression - less folk-naive than many matryoshkas and more in the tradition of fine decorative art.
Hand-painted with exceptional attention to the continuous floral pattern across all five pieces - the gold work on the dark green background gives it a richness that photographs well but is even more striking in person.
This is a five nested piece set. Initialed Н.С. (N.S.) by the artist.
